Введение
Мощный «ультрабук» с экраном HiDPI и двумя SSD 128 GB, объединённые с помощью Intel FakeRAID в один диск 256 GB. В Ubuntu почти всё работает.
Характеристики

- Клавиатура с подсветкой (включается от датчика освещённости около клавиши Pause/Break, работает аппаратно, драйверы не нужны);
Быстрой клавиши для выбора устройства загрузки не обнаружено. Более того, при включении BIOS не определяет USB-диски, поэтому загрузиться с них можно только после перезагрузки, тогда BIOS делает полную инициализацию.

Synaptics TouchPad
Synaptics TouchPad требует донастройки в Ubuntu 13.10: поверхность над кнопками тоже участвуют в определении координат и нужно уменьшить площадь поля, исключив кнопки.
Чтобы курсор не сдвигался при попытке «щёлкнуть», увеличиваем параметры FingerLow и FingerHigh, заодно включим вертикальную и горизонтальную прокрутку двумя пальцами:

Много полезного (например, выключение при наборе с клавиатуры или подключении мыши) можно найти в программе gpointing-device-settings.
Чтобы указанные выше параметры автоматически прописывались при входе пользователя в систему, создаём файл /etc/scripts/synap_conf.sh:

Сканер отпечатков пальцев
lsusb определяет его так:

Если установить fprintd и проиндексировать сканер командой
fprintd-enroll -f left-index-finger
то fprintd-list определяет его как «AuthenTec AES1660», можно внести отпечаток командой
fprintd-enroll username
провести пальцем и получим «Enroll result: enroll-completed», но команда «fprintd-verify username» при проверке выдаёт «Verify result: verify-retry-scan (not done)».
RAID, разбивка диска
В линуксе RAID виден после установки пакета dmraid. Разбивка изначально следующая:

Перепрошивка BIOS
Чтобы узнать теоретическую возможность перепрошивки, не перепрошивая BIOS, воспользуемся flashrom в режиме чтения. flashrom -r /dev/null. Как обычно, ноутбук ей лучше не прошивать:
